Oh My

I knew this was a big deal, but it seems it's bigger than I thought. From LockerGnome on RSS:

This just in from Forrester: 64% of U.S. advertisers would advertise in blogs and 57% would place RSS ads.

These sound like the numbers that Charlene Li came up with for Ad:Tech. I'd like to see the original question language.

Its amazing that RSS has this kind of visibility with ad buyers.

The question in the Forrester survey was, "How *interested* are you in the following media channels?" Those figures for blogs and RSS are the percentages who answered "very" and "somewhat." The sample size was small (58) and very skewed to heavy online advertisers. When the sample was asked, "What percentage of your total advertising budgets will be spent in the following ad channels in 2005," Internet outpaced TV, 24 percent to 15 percent.

topulatis:

the question is, how many ppl want ads in their rss - i, for one, am taking to unsubscribe from feeds with ads in them: the ads just distract from the flow

He previously called for growth of 1.2 percent this year
