If you're in the business of paying authors, like we are, nothing is more important than, well, getting them paid. And that's where Evan McCalmon comes in. Evan is our finance assistant, and for the past couple months (we were slow in getting his picture!), he's been managing our accounts receivables and cashflow inside our finance department. I must say, we've had some *very* happy authors since Evan came on board, because we've not only been selling a lot of high quality inventory, we've been collecting on those sales as well.

Evan comes to Federated Media after a brief stint at Morgan Kaufmann Publishers. He completed his MFA in January, hails from Boulder, Colorado, and spent the last half of the 90s living in Los Angeles where he worked on film crews. In his spare time he hacks away at a large writing project that some might consider a novel. So, yes, he's an author in spirit, which we can certainly appreciate around here.
